“During these two weeks I became more independent. I had to learn how to make my own decisions and take care of myself. It is now very evident in my daily life. In general, I significantly improved my English because I was constantly surrounded by people speaking it. I also boosted my communication skills. During my time at summer school, I realised how monotonously I spent my time back home. From now on, I will be more active and fill my time with various activities, just like we did at the camp.”

“One of the most memorable experiences for me was our trip to the Supreme Court and the Old Bailey, where I had the opportunity to watch a real court case on terrorism. It was fascinating to learn about the history of these courts and to delve deep into the English legal system. I've always wanted to pursue a law degree, and these field trips only fueled my passion further. This trip has shaped me in so many ways — enhancing my academic skills, boosting my confidence, and helping me build lifelong friendships with people from all over the world.”

“Working with a diverse group of peers on my podcast was an incredible experience. The shared creativity, lively exchange of ideas, and genuine collaboration made the whole process thrilling. The one-on-one feedback from our mentors was especially meaningful, as it allowed us to see our weaknesses and work on improving our work. Plus, being immersed in the vibrant culture of New York really brought everything we learned to life. It was an unforgettable journey that left a lasting impression on me. The program was truly transformative. The intense environment really pushed me to grow, both creatively and personally, and it gave me fresh perspectives on media and communication. The friendships I made during the camp are something I’ll cherish for a long time—they’ll definitely last well beyond the program.”

“I had an absolutely wonderful time at Riversdown House. It’s a boarding school with heart and soul. You come here to learn English, but that’s just a small part of what you gain. Beyond language lessons, Riversdown offers warm conversations, funny moments, incredible people, and new experiences that make you feel truly connected. A special highlight were our trips to the local village and Winchester, where we experienced the essence of England. We also visited the Chichester Theater to enjoy a captivating performance of Oliver Twist, adding a touch of culture and entertainment to our week. My heartfelt thanks go to Mr. Richard Lewis for his insightful Cross-Culture lecture, to Nigel Paterson for an engaging evening dedicated to Charles Dickens, and to Caroline Lewis for running this place with such warmth, depth, and care, making Riversdown House feel truly special.”
